A Bride’s Perspective: What It’s Like to Have Me by Your Side on Your Wedding Day
“I felt completely at ease the entire day because I knew Brie was handling every detail. After watching her navigate the unexpected challenges before the wedding, I trusted that she could manage anything that came up. Having that trust allowed me to fully enjoy the day without stress.”
Every couple’s experience is different, and one of my favorite ways to share what I do is through the eyes of the people I’ve served. Recently, one of my brides shared some of her favorite moments and behind-the-scenes memories from her wedding day. This wedding was an absolute joy to be apart of! With her permission, I’m sharing them here exactly as she wrote them, because I want you to feel the authenticity of her experience.
Are you thinking about hiring a wedding planner but not sure what the experience is really like? In this post, one bride shares her honest review of what it felt like to have expert planning and day-of coordination, from calm confidence to behind-the-scenes problem solving.
How Professional Coordination Keeps Your Wedding Calm

A Moment She’ll Never Forget
“One of my favorite moments was during our rehearsal. Our venue wasn’t traditional and there was no obvious ceremony layout, but Brie stepped in and instantly turned a confusing situation into a clear, confident plan. She walked us through options, helped us troubleshoot sound and music setup, and made everything feel easy. Our ceremony went smoothly because of her. Another moment I loved was after the ceremony when she drove us around the venue property in a golf cart for photos. That moment was such a joyful memory. I had just gotten married, we were riding around in the sunshine with friends, and Brie helped us soak it all in.”
As a planner, moments like this are exactly why I’m there. Rehearsals can feel overwhelming because everyone is trying to visualize something they’ve never experienced before. My role is to gently step in, simplify, and create clarity so everyone feels confident walking into the ceremony. When the plan feels clear, the energy shifts and that calm carries into the wedding day.
Also not every meaningful moment is logistical. Some of my favorite memories as a planner are the spontaneous, joy-filled pauses, the ones that allow couples to breathe and actually feel what’s happening (like driving around in a golf cart!) Protecting space for joy is just as important as managing a timeline.
How the Planning Stayed Calm (Even When Things Weren’t)
“Just a few weeks before the wedding, our venue suffered major storm damage and truly wasn’t ready for an event. What could have been an extremely stressful situation for me ended up being manageable because Brie kept us calm, communicated clearly, and took charge of every problem. She and her husband Levi, and their team worked tirelessly to restore the property, and it turned into the most beautiful day. Our guests had no idea how much work had gone on behind the scenes. Thanks to Brie, my stress was minimal, and I always felt reassured the whole time.”

Unexpected challenges are part of live events. What matters most isn’t whether something goes wrong, it’s how it’s handled. My priority in moments like this is protecting my couple’s emotional experience. They shouldn’t carry the weight of vendor conversations or contingency plans. That’s my responsibility.
This celebration was a micro wedding — an intimate gathering focused on intention, connection, and meaningful details rather than scale. With a smaller guest count, every moment felt personal and every logistical decision mattered even more. Micro weddings allow couples to slow down and truly experience their day but they still require thoughtful coordination to feel seamless.
The Quiet Ways I Stepped In Behind the Scenes
“During photos after the ceremony, we found out that our caterer hadn’t arrived when they were supposed to. Brie handled the entire situation with professionalism. She got the contact information, made the calls, and took care of everything so that my husband and I could stay fully present with our families. We didn’t have to worry for even a moment because she stepped in so seamlessly. Brie helped us set up and decorate the entire venue on the day of the wedding. She has an eye for design, and everything came together beautifully.”
Vendor timing issues can easily ripple into the rest of the evening. Because I manage communication behind the scenes, the couple doesn’t have to absorb that stress. Weddings move beautifully when someone is watching the timeline and making small adjustments quietly in the background.

Why She’d Recommend Me Without Hesitation
“I would absolutely recommend Brie to anyone planning a wedding. She treats your wedding as if it were her own. She listens closely, cares deeply, and turns your ideas into reality. She’s detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and incredibly kind. By the end of our wedding, it truly felt like we had gained a new member of the family.”
I take that sentiment seriously. I don’t see weddings as events to execute — I see them as deeply personal milestones. My approach is rooted in care, presence, and stewardship. Every decision, every conversation, every detail is handled with intention because it matters to you.
Reading experiences like this reminds me that wedding planning isn’t about perfection — it’s about protection. Protecting your peace, your vision, your time, and your ability to fully experience your day. That’s the true wedding planner experience, and it’s why I do what I do.
Weddings are full of moving pieces, emotions, and unexpected moments, and it’s my greatest honor to be the steady presence that allows my couples to feel grounded, supported, and fully present. Hearing words like these reminds me exactly why I do this work: to create celebrations that feel effortless, meaningful, and joy-filled from start to finish.
Couples should aim to hire a planner soon after they get engaged! This will allow the planner plenty of time to get to know you and your vision. However, I work with couples who are in the middle of planning as well, to help wrap things up.
I am based in Reno, NV, but I love to travel! This particular wedding was in central California, near Yosemite National Park.
If you are looking for a calm presence and expert guidance both on your wedding day and during the wedding planning process, I’m your girl.
